The School

The school is situated in the centre of Rome, in the pedestrian area, halfway between the astounding Piazza Navona, Castel S. Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica. This area, typically Roman, abounds with charming cafes, shops, boutiques, libraries and a vibrancy found nowhere else in the city.

The school is located in an attractive, elegant and typically aristocratic building, where the decoration has many luxurious aspects, with 13 spacious classrooms, full of light, a common room with vending machines, a computer room with free Internet access, a video room, a conference room, lift, wheelchair access and central heating. It is one of the largest schools in Rome.

The office of the School in Rome is open 10 hours a day (from 8 a.m to 7 p.m, Monday to Friday), so that you can come whenever you want. You will find the staff ready to help you and solve your problems. A public phone is also available to our students.

All the classes at the Scuola School in Rome are held in fine rooms with large windows and excellent lighting. Inside the classrooms there is more than adequate space for a maximum of 12 students per class. The teachers work with different media, such as videotapes, projectors, CD players that allow us to give the students efficient, dynamic and interesting classes.

In addition students can access the "Gustolab - Lounge food and coffee.net", just in front of the school, where they will have free internet connection: this space has been concepted as a meeting place for our students, designed to provide relaxing surroundings complete with coffee-shop, cafeteria, internet acces and lounge.

Many people visit us every day making the school a meeting point for the international community in Rome. We have students from more than 90 different countries (45% from Europe, 35 % from America, 10 % from Asia and the remaining 10 % from other countries

Staff at the school in Rome provide administrative assistance to the students ensuring that their classes and housing are appropriate to their needs. Also, the staff joins the faculty to help develop confidence in students' ability to speak Italian and increase their language skills.

You will immediately start using and thinking in your new language with the help of our native Italian-speaking instructors who are trained to make each lesson meet the individual needs of the group members, keeping you engaged in lively dialogues and drills. User friendly audio visuals help you develop a natural ability to speak Italian.

The school has developed its own methodology. Textbooks are designed to accelerate the learning process of Italian. Grammar is presented in an organised and logical manner followed by examples, an array of practice exercises and short stories that gives the students and the teachers many opportunities to talk in Italian.

All the programs have been designed to ensure that the students gets the maximum benefit possible regardless of the duration of thieir course.
