Our residential apartments are selected on the basis of quality and convenience and contain 2 or 3 bedrooms with shared living areas. Apartments are fully furnished and are located 15 minutes by bus from the school.

Staying with a host family both maximises opportunities for English language practice and a greater understanding of Irish culture. You are always welcome at a GCI host family.

As with all accommodation, booking early is essential especially during July and August, to ensure your preferred option.

Staying with a family maximises opportunities for language practice and facilitates a greater understanding of Irish culture. 

Host family accommodation includes the following:

• Detached or semi detached house with 3 / 4  / 5 bedrooms, shared kitchen, bathroom and living / dining room

• All students have single rooms unless otherwise requested

• 2 weeks minimum stay required

• No students of the same nationality are accommodated at the same time unless by prior arrangement.

• Half board Monday – Friday and Full board at the weekends

• Host families are all regularly checked and visited by us as part of our quality policy

• Our host families are close to the school between 10 – 25 minutes walk, 10 minutes approx by bus.

• The bedrooms all include a desk/table for study, adequate storage for clothes and a comfortable bed with fresh bed linen provided at least once a week. If there is no desk in the room, an appropriate work/study will be available in the house.

• Each bedroom has natural light and is equipped with radiator.

Our families are experienced and enjoy welcoming students into their homes. All families are located on a local bus route.

*Laundry facilities are provided in host family, residential or apartment accommodation.

The residential accommodation consists of semi-detached houses with 4 single bedrooms with shared kitchen, bathroom and living area in winter and 3 / 4 bed roomed houses in summer.

·         All houses are sublet by for student use

·         Residential accommodation is self-catering, fully equipped and includes cable television, washing facilities, and garden areas.

·         Minimum age for students 18

·         Area of each house is 145 square metres approximately

·         Bed linen is provided, however, students must provide their own towels

·         Students share with other students.

·         Students are allocated specific rooms before arrival.

·         En-suite bathrooms are available in specific residences when booked well in advance.

·         The residence is cleaned prior to the student's arrival and the shared areas are cleaned weekly thereafter.

·         Laundry of bed linen is the student’s responsibility after arrival.

·         Student must adhere to the recycling system for rubbish in each house.

·         €100 refundable breakages deposit required on arrival and students must complete and sign lease agreement.

·         Rooms must be vacated by 10.00 am on Saturday morning departure.

The residence is located just 5 minutes walk from the school.

Our Dun na Carraige residence is situated in a 10 minute walk from the school in Salthill

The residence is located a short bus ride away or 25-30 minutes on foot

Our Gort na Coirbe residence is situated a five minute walk from the city centre and a short bus ride [10-15mins] from the school in Salthill ( available only in summer)

Two luxury apartments located in the heart of Galway City centre
Each apartment has 2 bedrooms with shared kitchen, bathroom and living area.
Accommodation is self-catering, fully equiped and includes cable television and laundry facilities.

• 2 weeks minimum stay required

• Minimum age for students is 18

• Available all year round

• The area of each apartment is approximately 73 square metres

• Clients must rent the entire apartment 

• Students are allocated specific rooms before arrival..
